Joanna Desenfants is an experienced trial attorney representing homeowners and property owners in construction defect and property damage disputes in Texas. She focuses her practice on holding builders and contractors accountable when construction work fails to meet acceptable standards, helping clients pursue full and fair compensation for defective work.
Before focusing on construction cases, Joanna spent years as a criminal prosecutor in multiple Texas counties, trying cases and gaining extensive firsthand courtroom experience. That background gives her the foundation to handle construction and insurance disputes with confidence and precision. As a former research attorney, Joanna developed strong legal research and writing skills supporting courts, litigators, and clients on a range of legal matters. She brings that same thorough, detail-oriented approach to construction contracts, warranty documents, and property damage claims on behalf of her clients.
Joanna earned her J.D. from Texas A&M University School of Law in Fort Worth, Texas, and a B.S. in Mass Communications from Saint John's University in Queens, New York. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and cooking.
