Kristin Ottinger is partnered with Wilson, Reeder and Zudar as Special Counsel for the Firm. Kristin has over 25 years of diverse legal experience surrounding litigation and government law and has acted as a city attorney, assistant city attorney, assistant county attorney, in-house counsel, general counsel, prosecutor, and special magistrate for a variety of state, municipal, and private entities.

Kristin has over two decades of litigation experience; she has successfully participated in approximately 70 jury trials and more than 100 bench trials. She has worked as house counsel for Progressive Insurance, where she managed all phases of litigation for the company in both property damage and bodily injury coverage disputes and as a staff litigator with the City of Tampa, handling the defense of the City in a variety of liability and property cases. At the start of her legal career, she served as a criminal prosecutor with the State of Florida and ended her tenure as a Lead Trial Attorney.

Kristin graduated from the Stetson University College of Law, where she was a Legal Writing Honor Society member and a Client Counseling Team member. She received her Bachelor of Science in psychology and a minor in English from the University of Florida. She graduated from Bloomingdale High School and has called Tampa Bay home for most of her life.

During her free time, Kristin is a pro-bono advocate for animal rescue and enjoys spending time with her husband, son and adopted bernedoodle.
